Hi, I'm Sheikh Obaid Ullah, a curious and driven engineering student at Centrale Méditerranée, Nice, with a deep passion for computer vision, artificial intelligence, and all things data. I thrive on solving real-world problems and finding creative ways to make technology work smarter. I've had the privilege of attending programs like the Graphics & Vision Summer School at IIT Delhi and the Computer Vision Driven UAV Applications in Precision Agriculture workshop, which sparked my fascination for cutting-edge AI techniques. Recently, I've been working on an exciting Airbus project, where I'm tackling the challenge of detecting defects in helicopter components using X-ray images. By combining the strengths of U-Net for precise defect segmentation and YOLO for real-time object detection, I'm striving to create a reliable and efficient system.
Beyond that, I love turning data into stories. One of my favorite projects was creating an interactive dashboard that visualized the economic impact of COVID-19, blending data science with storytelling to uncover meaningful insights.

Developed a solution for detecting material sliding defects in the Starflex of helicopters using x-ray images. Designed preprocessing pipeline and trained multiple models achieving 99.5%-100% TPR with YOLOv11. Eliminated human dependency and accelerated defect detection.
